At The Plumery, grooming is approached differently.

We believe grooming should be as low-stress, and individualized as possible. Our focus is on fear-free handling techniques, patience, trust-building, and minimizing restraint whenever safely possible. Some parrots are even able to complete grooming sessions entirely restraint free.

All grooming services are performed by an experienced avian professional with more than 20 years of hands-on experience working with parrots of all sizes, species, personalities, and temperaments.

Whether your bird simply needs a routine nail trim or has more complex grooming needs, we work to create a calm and supportive experience for both birds and their people.

Wing Trims & Consultations

Because flight ability, safety, and quality of life vary greatly between birds and households, all wing trims require a consultation prior to grooming. We do not believe in a “one size fits all” approach to clipping.​

Appointment Information

Appointments are required for all grooming services.

We require bringing your bird in a secure carrier and arriving 10 minutes early to allow time for check-in and assessment.
